"Unforgiven" was a revisionist western made of an old bounty hunter. Starred Clint Eastwood, Morgan Freeman, Gene Hackman, and Francis Fisher. It was kind of the man with no name theme 30 years later.

It won Best Picture and Director for Clint Eastwood, Best Supporting Actor for Gene Hackman for 1992.

Thanx Bob! I had in my mind that it was Pale Rider but when I checked it out I understood I rememberd wrong & had to ask here.
We have to start showing good movies to our son who's main interest nowadays is violence & weapons & thinks killing people is cool, makes one pretty exhausted...

        Nox,

I am sure that your son's taste will change. A TDY trip to Vietnam, plus seeing what auto accidents and gun shots can do to the human body in the emergency room can be a great cure. I wish there were more movies that would show trying to save a life rather than ending a life were made.

My son who will be 40 this July had some games where there were solders going around shooting at people. He did like Hockey though, and still coaches his daughter on roller Hockey. He also was in a severe auto accident at age 17 and had to go a week with his left eye covered so they could carefully take out pieces of glass from the accident. The appeal of the games lost their attraction.

I hope your son has a long and safe life. This is one case where experience is not the best teacher.

Indeed I agree Bob! Ozzian has been "exiting" since he was a bit over 6 months, before that he was a jolly happy kid but then he changed & we've had big strugles with him.
He's now 12 years old (I also have two adult daughters) & slowly getting better, but he's not afraid of anything so threats or voilence don't work, well violence I can easily do without anyway, but he provides that at times then we just have to wait it out... & nowadays it's hard to keep kids from all the evil on internet & all games is only about killing.
Sadly I bet he wouldn't even flicker over watching Deer Hunter. So I thought Unforgiven would make him think, as the way the young kid finaly reacts when it comes to do the actual killing.
