That is a magnificent car. I was pretty sad to see it burned. Glad it is being rebuilt. I can only imagine the hours it will take to make the body again.

The Norman Timbs Special was (is) gorgeous. I'm so glad to see it will be back. A milestone car for sure.

The fellow that owns those cars is the guy who bought my '70 Avanti last year. His Avanti was lost in the fire...as was his home. He told me not everything he lost was insured...glad to see some are being rebuilt as much as possible.

The Timbs special was nagging at my mind today. I decided it looks like a pre war auto union with fenders!

I later noticed in the text it in fact said the design was inspired by the Auto Union streamliners.
