  • my 1962 Lark

my first Studebaker,I bought it two months ago.and drove it from northern New South Wales to Tasmania with out any issues, the only thing I dont like is the replacement of the points, and maybe the drum brakes,I drive it every day any weather ,it fantastic,it cost me $2,500 australian dollars....I never name cars but sorry this one is FOZZIE....It replaces a $40.000 FALCON show car that just sits around..I am the third owner and apart from the wheels (i put on) it is very original

Welcome Rodney and Fozzie, what a lovely Lark, I have one myself, the 62's are nice cars.

I've installed an ICE Electronic distributor and ignition, and four wheel disk brakes. You can (as I did) obtain a front disk brake kit from Hoppers Stoppers in Victoria, my rear axle is a cut down LSD from an AU (I think) Falcon, but then you require a new driveshaft and master cylinder setup plus a new handbrake cable, so I suggest just doing the front brakes.

Choose a reliable business, with specialist products and expert engineering. Our professional Engineers design and fit quality, original brake upgrades. We're

    Best wishes with it.

        Welcome, Rodney!

I had an almost identical car...except the steering wheel was on the other side ...

Hey Rodney, don't throw away those original Australian made hub caps and trim rings that came with your Lark. The ones used in 1962 are unique to that year only.

          Chris.

                Welcome!

Looked like mine, excluding RHD, Amber turn-signals and an extra two doors..

Love the baby moons, which my Daytona did have..

Nice car and welcome! To all the "Aussies" here, I'd love to see you post some pics of the Australian vintage cars you own over on the "Stove-Huggers" forum. Bet others would, too. It would be very educational!
