I'm the latest "newbie" to the Studebaker family. Recently purchased a 62 Hawk GT. As I learn the ins and outs of this classic, I'm finding the need for some trunk hinges. Looking forward to hearing about other projects and sharing some horsepower and chrome info.

Anthony, nice find and welcome to the Studebaker Forum. Glad you found us. You should be able to find all the information you need for your car. Parts are readily available from our abundance of wonderful vendors. I recommend you join the SDC and find a local chapter. You won't regret it. Be sure to sign up for Turning Wheels magazine. It'll blow your socks off.
You have another Florida resident with a beautiful '62 GT Hawk. His handle here on the forum is Shoo wop. You will likely hear from him. Very nice young man.
Explore this forum. Use the search feature to find specific information. Go to the SDC web page for more great Studebaker information. And please, send more photos. We love them.

Welcome to the forum. Years ago we lived in Port Richey off highway 52, now a ways up north. Yes, join the SDC and consider one of the "local" chapters as well. You have the Central Florida chapter basically out of Tampa/St. Pete and the North Central chapter (from roughly Orlando north and west to the coast) and also the Orlando chapter (more around Orlando itself). I belong to the North Central, a great bunch of people and quite active as well. Hope to see you somewhere along the way. Bill

Very much appreciate all the welcoming posts. Looking forward to following up on all your recommendations. On a side note, I was told (see attached) my Hawk was used in the film "Catch Me If You Can" and two HBO films but this has not been fully verified. The car also belonged, at one time, to a member of the Studebaker family. Previous registrations with their name were part of the paperwork turnover.1 Photo
