You mentioned in the article that the car was from Westminster MD. I remember seeing it parked in front of the Safeway as a young boy along about 1966 or so. Stood out right prominently from the Impalas and Fairlanes even then and was an object of some fascination for me. Now I own the same car in turquoise and white.

If that is the Safeway by college square then that is exactly one mile from the original owners home @ 106 Pennsylvania Ave. He owned an Esso station in the area. He purchased the car at Earhart's Garage, which has been paved over and is now the back entrance of McDaniel (Western MD College). Glad you have one too.
