But, there were a fair amount of those 96” BBC trucks built with different wheelbases. Most were probably road tractors, but there are some long wheelbase haulers out there too.
Craig’s Big Bertha, for example. It rides on a 196” wheelbase, if I remember correctly.

No, not all the Toters modified by Whatoff in Iowa. The trucks were sold to Whatoff and then modified up until 1963. Starting in 1963, the factory started cataloging a 1-1/2 ton Toter, using the 8E28AX designation for gas engines, and 8E35AX for Diesels. Even though they were offered by Studebaker, the conversion was actually performed by Bock in Mishawaka. Been selling, but then this came along.... - Studebaker Drivers Club Forum
