  • Drove my Studebaker Indy car on IDYSD

We took the 1932 Studebaker Indy car (replica) to the "Cocktails for Cars" event at the Heritage Museum in Sandwich, MA on Cape Cod to join 35 other cars on display today. There were some older cars as well as some modern supercars, like Ferraris and a GT40 MKII. We were given a great spot on the lawn, got to talk with lots of people and explain Studebaker's involvement with the Indy 500 in 1932 and 1933. It was great New England summer weather, temps in the low 80s, low humidity, and clear skies.

WOW Gary! Of all the cars in your nice photos, yours stands out as a true work of art.
I doubt any person on that lawn knows their car as well as you know every square inch of yours even before it became a car.
Enjoy every moment. You certainly earned it!

What a great attraction your car is and a testament to your skill and perseverance.

Interesting that Franklin felt the need to put a faux radiator on their air cooled car.

Gary, you must have had the rarest of the rare at that show. A replica not withstanding. What a treat, and an unusual way to show off a Studebaker on IDYSD. Good show my man!
