My Avanti at the Studebaker Farm

I took my Avanti R2 off the top shelf today and drove out tothe original Studebaker Farm location off highway 180 just short of downtownWeatherford. With the John Brooks andStudebaker Farm Estate Sale at the Hamilton location scheduled for November 5th,I was curious what was happening here.Of course the famous Studebaker sign on the pole was long gone and is listedas part of the upcoming sale. It does not look like anyone has been hererecently and pretty much secured other than that.

Had to stop by a local cattle ranch for a photo of theseason.

Georgous Avanti Eye Candy .though the C-Cabs are not up too the same standards, they do add to a great Scene - this would make a nice TWs Cover.

Tried from earlier years all the way to the day I took these pictures, April 13th of 1993, to catch someone there...cool stuff, never found anyone home. I sure did want one of the coupes and that big ole' sign !

LOVE that green Transtar!! I would have been tempted to just camp out till someone showed up...

Ah, so sad. No one's going to show up because he's gone. So, they just leave the place open like this and unguarded??? Not wise...

Does anyone have any details on John Brooks sale? And, when he died ? I haven't been able to find an obituary.
