I wonder if the artist has a Studebaker connection?

        Perhaps

Has anyone else noticed it has a '50 nose and '51 grills and hood ornament? There was also never, to the best of my knowledge, a two-tone Starlight in either of those years. [edit] I also just noticed Olive's door appears to be from a '52 Starliner, rather than a coupe or sedan.

Perhaps Rockne, however there were a lot of people like my parents who had the roof of their car painted white. Kept the car cooler in the summer (or so they thought).

The author/originator of the comic strip does not have a Studebaker connection, but the man that does the illustrations for him does have a Studebaker connection. This has been covered before on this SDC Forum.

                They were quite probably correct.

Though I suspect I should stop there, lest the illustrator decides to abandon the Studebaker.

Yeah! Its pretty exciting he has used it. I loved the 51 in the muppet movie too!

A bear in its natural habitat....a Studebaker!

There was a two-door frighteningly green bullet-nose that was for sale on the 'bay recently. I fantasized about getting it, painting all the 'Muppet artwork' on it and having a Fozzie costume made to wear whilst driving it. LOL, probably wouldn't have been a good idea as it would have likely caused an accident. Sure would have been fun though.
