  • Frank Ambrogio and the Studebaker Archives

I've just finished reading Frank Ambrogio's article in the July Turning Wheels (page 24). Even though I've known Frank for over 30 years I had no idea how much personal effort he was putting into archiving every Studebaker publication.

I sincerely hope that every SDC member fully appreciates Frank's essential effort, because one day we'll all be gone and our publications history is now preserved. Yes Frank, you certainly have given more than you promised!

To those of in the "know" within 56J circles, we've always appreciated his never ending efforts and were truly sad to see his sell his Golden Hawks. Without being too biased, well actually I'll admit it.. could what he has quietly been achieving set the benchmark by which other model groups could perhaps consider. Of course, it becomes a labor of love, a monumental undertaking with heaps of dedication.

And, when I get across to Florida to visit my family and have the time to get along to say "hello" to Frank and Anita, it is always a pleasure.

I certain salute Frank and his efforts.

Congratulations on such a massive project, Frank. We can't thank you enough for all the work you put into this. It will benefit all members of SDC by making it easier to research materials for articles and for personal projects.

          Thanks again,

Frank is the greatest! He has helped me out many times. The 56J owners are lucky that he had the talent and time to put together all the information that he has for us. All the time with the greatest sense of humor.

            Thanks Frank
