Hey Vance....
Try calling Danny at Stephen Allen's Auto in Newberry, Florida.
(352)472-9369
Welcome to Stephen Allen's LLC Why choose Stephen Allen’s as your Studebaker parts supplier? You'll receive top notch customer service, competitive prices & quality restoration parts. You'll also speak with knowledgeable staff who own, repair, restore & drive Studebakers themselves, really. We have a large, diverse inventory with a broad selection
Tell Danny (or Carol, or Stephen) that Jeff Rice referred you, and they will get one for you.
I am sure they have one, as I do believe I have seen several Champ engines of that vintage there...
Also a good place to search is the Studebaker web-ring...
Stay at the forefront of innovation with webring - Your go-to source for all things tech and entertainment.
Hope the info helps...
Jeff[8D]
PS: One thing to remember.... With that dipstick/breather cap....
Always keep the flat of the dipstick parallel to the crankshaft centerline.
Otherwise you may get a ticking noise that sounds all the world like a loose tappet (except it is at crank speed instead of cam speed)..
Ask me how I know
