A while back there was a post about 040 V8 rod bearings. A set has come up on ebay, not cheap. Also a set of 060 resizable?? rod bearings. "Any competent machinist can resize" Some other interesting engine parts also. Not a vendor I have ever dealt with.

040 rod bearings
American iron, real old school
With two tone paint, it sure is cool
Its got 8 cylinders and uses them all
With an overdrive that just won't stall
With a 4 barrel carb and dual exhausts
With 4.23 gears it can really get lost
Its got safety belts and I ain't scared
The brakes are good and the tires are fair.
Tried to sell her, but got no taker
I"ll just keep driving my StudebakerTags: None

The poster may have done the right thing and moved on to a Good Crank to handle the readily available Std, .010, .020, .030 Rod Bearings instead, by now.StudeRich

I don't get it, these are STUDEBAKERS, there is NOTHING available that I know of smaller than .030 Undersize, so why talk about .060 or "Resizeable"?StudeRich

I see that Jack, but I always think in terms of "Available" to mean in New, current Mfg. in QUANTITY, in Stock, not NORS one of a kind, even shelf pitted.
Johnson had awesome Bearings back in the Day, when the thinking was highly Polished, smooth Bearings, not coated with break-in coating or whatever all of the New Dull ones are.StudeRich
