  • OEM Wiring Gauge and Colors for 1950 Studebaker Champion

Does anyone have the factory cloth wire gauge and colors used for a 1950 Studebaker Champion? I have searched all over to no avail. I would like to keep everything factory looking when going back.

OEM style harnesses are available from Studebaker vendors.

I don't really want to do a complete harness replacement. I just want to fix as I go.

        Try this link: https://www.studebakerparts.com/stud...es/50-wire.jpg

Also I THINK Motors Repair Manuals include them.

If you purchase a Studebaker repair manual for your car it is in there.

That's good news. I have a shop manual on its way already.

The Chassis Parts Catalog and the Body Parts Catalog are indispensable.
They all are available as originals, reproductions, and on CD.
The original Shop Manual pictures are crisp and clear, the reproductions pictures are somewhat muddied, that kind of gets in the way when you are doing a repair.
The CDs, I've asked here on the site if they are copies from original manuals or from reproductions and have never received an answer. They are inexpensive and handy.
When ordering parts all vendors refer to the parts numbers.

YnZ's in California reproduces the braided, lacquered wires and sells either by the foot or complete harnesses, as well as wire ends, junctions, blocks, etc. I believe Rhode Island Wiring does the same. I have dealt with both and, while they are not cheap, both are of best quality.

YnZs Yesterdays Parts offers its customers over 49 years experience in manufacturing wiring harnesses for antique and classic cars and trucks. YnZ's Yesterday's Parts · (909) 798-1498

Thanks Rock... That's what I'm looking for. I have sourced a few places. I just wanted to try and find out what the original gauges were and colors used. I know there were a few different patterns back then.

Your gauges and colors, including tracers, will be on your factory wiring diagram in the shop manual. Chuck Collins also has a link to wiring diagrams that can be enlarged in your photo viewer. https://www.studebakerparts.com/stud...ediagrams.html
