  • '53 to '56 "C" Coupe Door Needed

Please Welcome our newest Member as of 02/10/2016: Ewald (Jellybean) from Jellybean AutoCrafters in North Delta British Columbia, Canada who contacted me to locate a '53 to '56 "C" Coupe Door, I recommended he Post here to locate one as I have none.

Please let us know which side you need, Ewald. Someone must know where one of these difficult to find doors is.
As most of you know, these '53-'56 Coupe Doors have the distinctive curved down Studebaker bodyline in them.

I am pretty sure you Guys up there work on MORE than Jellybean Hondas

Also wasn't it said here that Studebaker had Two different Scallops, maybe 56 is by It's Self ? the Body line travels further down on 56s,hopefully I'm not mixing this up with another Subject

Rich, he called me first about the doors and I sent him your way as I figured you would have some. From talking with him I think he needs both right and left sides all I have is one with bullet holes in it and it is here in the bay area.

That might explain the TWO calls we got.
When he called yesterday morning we gave him your name.
He called again in the afternoon.

Hopefully someone has a set of doors for this guy.

I just went out to the shop in hopes of comparing Dad's '54 Champion to his '56 Power Hawk. I got as far as the door when I remembered that the Hawk is stored elsewhere. Oooooops. Maybe someone else can/will chime in on this...?

Yup, the scallop doesn't go as close to the bottom of door in '56. I think it was changed to allow for the extruded aluminum trim on the '56 Golden Hawk.

'58 Packard Hawk. A partially restored car that was not completely assembled.

              Hello All
Thanks for letting me join this forum, it seems to be a wealth of information & camaraderie.
I called around yesterday & was referred to several people which turns out several are also on this forum so I'm glad I was pointed in this direction.
Thank you all for checking to see if you have the doors with the Scallops in them.

At my shop we are building a high level 1954 Studebaker Champion 2 door with the posts around the glass. It's body is remaining all stock but it is being modified mechanically so we've sourced out local people who where looking for mechanical parts so they are now in the hands of several Studebaker owners in hopes of getting theirs driving again using these parts.

This is what the car looked like when it came it.

If anyone has a set of doors for sale please let me know, your help is greatly appreciated

There is also a Studebaker swap website where you might post your want. I don't frequent it so don't know the address but I know others here do.

Here you go Ewald, good luck finding what you need.

That '54 Champion Starlight Coupe was looking quite good to start with, but I am sure you and your Brother will have it looking even better!

We would love to see a few progress Photos as it moves along.

I may have a set from the parts car I purchased when I was restoring my 54. I will check on it for you if you still need them.
