Avanti Interior Removal

I'm in the midst of deconstructing my 1963 Avanti for reupholstery. Its my first Avanti, so be gentle!
I'm having trouble with the rear Interior armrests. It appears the armrest material is glued directly to the Interior body panels. Is this correct? I've removed all the screws, but no luck. What am I missing, and what's the best removal technique?

The armrest should have spring two clips attached to the horizontal portion of the vinyl armrest. These pop into the fiberglass bulkhead that is underneath. Since you have removed the screws you should be able to pull the armrest straight up to disengage the spring clips. This is how the factory installed them , but it is possible yours have been glued down by a previous owner, because the clips were lost.

you were indeed correct!
A previous owner had thoroughly glued them in place.
