  • A surprise in the mail...THANKS!

I received a package in the mail about a week ago. I had no recollection of ordering anything, nor was I expecting anything. The return address was not exactly familiar to me nor was it completely foreign to me. The package was from Sun City West, Arizona from Larry Swanson. It seems I am the recipient of the "Harold Churchill Award" for the best article of 2015 in Turning Wheels about my Rumble Seat Lark! Wow...What a surprise! Honestly, I had no idea that such an award existed. Obviously I was shocked to receive it. I'm not sure who decides who gets this award but I wanted to thank him/her/them for the honor. I have to thank Diane Crooks for "harassing" me until I got motivated to write the article, my niece Sydney for taking the phenomenal photos that appeared with the article and Richard Quinn for LOTS of info and advice. I thought the article that I wrote was "adequate" for publication but I had no idea that it would be award winning quality. Again, I want to thank, wholeheartedly, whoever was involved with the decision about this award.
If anyone can explain to me what the criteria for this award is...who decides the recipient...past winners or the articles etc, I'd be very interested!
    Thanks again,
    Chris

I've been fortunate to help Larry judge electronic versions of newsletters and amazed at so many great articles, tips, photo's, events etc. by club members.

Anyone who has enjoyed anything Studebaker, or SDC related should submit something to the Turning Wheels, or newsletter editors, because others will likely enjoy it as well.

Congratulations Chris and thanks for making it happen!

                    Cheers,
