R2 Air cleaner

I have heard somebody reproduces these in some form. Buthave searched and have come up empty handed.

In SI's latest catalog I do not see it listed either....I was looking at an earlier catalog of theirs, and that one indeed listed Avanti R2 air cleaner assys. (P/N 1559479)

They were possibly NOS...and perhaps they sold out.

Since you have some fab skills, you can probably make one up yoursselef..

Here's my 64 Hawk air filter canister I purchased from Jon Myers a few years ago. I had the canister re-chromed and mounted it.

That part is listed in the parts book as an "adapter" which has no filtering abilities. It is also referred to as a "bonnet" by some.
