  • Parts in St. Louis

I didn't get any pictures in the other three locations, but here are a few pictures from the big room inside were we were until Friday morning. My brother did especially well this year on his Turning Wheels and other literature. Some years it hardly gets a look.
I delivered my presold items and sold a few other bits so I could pay for the fresh 52 bumpers from Barry. We talked to lots of SDC folks including some of the better known (infamous?) ones. I think this was the biggest swap meet I have seen at an IM.

Amazing, in most of the pics there is someone on a stinking CELLPHONE! What is this, like an RM Auction with Phone bidders!

Often people are sent by others to look for parts (for those not able to make the convention). With cell phones the person can check with the person that the parts are for before laying out cash.

BTW If you are at one of these things and are really interested in something, make an offer. Most of the part time dealers like us will negotiate on most items. Especially, toward the end of the week. Joe sold a box of lever type shocks for $10.00 each just so he wouldn't have to take them home. I know I sold some of my stuff cheap, but they were parts I didn't need and don't want to store. The big dealers have overhead that we don't have to worry about.

I've been looking for beltline trim Parts for my 52 hardtop for ever.
At LA palma I found some really nice nos ones.
Looking at those photos I'll bet I could have found at least a few more there.

Anyone know of any please pm.

            Dean.
