  • Re-Popped 1963 and 1964 Tachometer Decals

I had a 1964 Tachometer face reproduced into a vinyl decal. If you are interested in purchasing one PM me.

They are not perfect for your 400 point show car but I am sure installing a bright clean decal over your the sun washed, faded and dirty face, this will make a big improvement.

$20 each to recoup the costs of having the decal made. I've got 10 of them.

So these are Black for '63 Model Larks and a close match to '64's?

They look very Detailed, right down to the Dot at the 0 mark and the Pat. Numbers at the bottom and the SW Part Number at the Top.

No Rich, the tachometer background closely matches the 1964 dark metallic green background that you would find in the center blank "Studebaker Corporation"

A rough original '64 Daytona Super Lark R1/R2 Tach.
Yeah, even without the Flash, it is hard not to wash out the Green on Pics of these.

Yes Rich, but that tach face looks really nice and would not replace it with a decal. I do have a good matched paint for the inner bezel that it could use.

Based on the PM's I've received so far I think it is best I order a few more of these tomorrow before I move to the West Coast on July 22.

Due to the responses I received last night, I inquired this morning about printing off the black face 1963 Tachometer faces as well. Since I am now going to get them to print off the 1963 black face decals, I've asked for a slight revision on the decal that I would like to see. With that in mind, I will have a revised 1964 tach face done up at the same time.

If you are interested in a 1963 or 1964 tachometer face decal please email me at (sixtyfour)r(two)hawk(at)gmail(dot)com with the year (1963 or 64) you would like, the quantity and your complete mailing address.

I found a Studebaker connection at the decal place as well this morning. It turns out the owners parents worked for Studebaker in Hamilton and has a bunch of NOS Studebaker stuff like name plates etc in his basement. I'm looking forward to see what all he has in boxes.

                      Cheers, Allen

Hi Allen. Nice job on the tach decals. Unrelated to this topic, if the guy has NOS maroon carpet for a 65 in his basement, please let me know. It's a long shot, but I have to ask. Thanks!

You had told me last year about the possibility of going west. Can we presume the career situation worked out to your satisfaction? We'll miss you here so please keep in touch. BTW, let me know what you discover in the boxes. The Hamilton Chapter has a meeting on Monday; why not come for the last time? Contact me for details.
