An interesting list of dealers, to be sure.

In the Studebaker list is Davis Motor Sales at 421 E. Vernor Highway.

Does anyone know what is significant about Mr. Davis and his franchise? BP

BINGO! Studebaker was the first manufacturer to offer a franchise to an African-American. Mr. Davis even spoke at an SDC International Meet many years ago, although I am sure he has since passed away. BP
