  • My Stude is going south!

After 4 years of loving her to death, my '64 Commander is going to a new home tomorrow. Leaving the cold PA weather and going to Charlotte, NC to be where she belongs: with my son.

I have given him strong direction to join the local club in the Charlotte area. I know you guys down there have a good one going.

So please send out a welcome, as well as encouragement to join the local down there. (braxbowen@yahoo.com)

And a huge "thank you" to all of you who have helped me time and time again to get this girl on the road for him!

Have him to make contact with Jack White (Bamajak here on the forum). I've known him for years. He and Linda are some of SDC's finest. They live in the area and have been hard working club members over the years. Hopefully, your son will be able to bring the car to our Tri State Meet in Maggie Valley this fall.

Doug: Right now there are a lot of folks suggesting things to 'improve' the South! You have taken the best action anyone has come up with- Send another nice Studebaker to reside in the South! Thank you, Doug!!!

Jack White can get your son set up in the local SDC hear in North Carolina. If you have any more Studebaker's regardless of condition I am sure Jack will be interested in finding a new home for them in his backyard

Thanks guys...I will point him in the direction of Jack White. My OTHER son has a '64 GT Hawk sitting in my garage. He is an apartment dweller, so that isn't going anywhere soon, I imagine!!

So Doug, does this leave you "Studebaker-less"? Or is it time to get another?

Are you saying, Mr. Bowen, that the Commander will not be on the receiving end of the weather conditions in the photo any longer?

Don't park that white '64 Hawk out there - you will not be able to find it during January and February...
