Gorgeous car! I always loved those fins and pods on the 1958 models.
Yours looks to be a very, very, nice original survivor car.
Have you tried any of the Studebaker vendors listed?
I'd call Studebaker International and have them check their South Bend warehouse.

The car is all original. I bought it "heat of the moment" i guess from a 82 yr old nice guy. His dad bought it in 63. Still on original tires. My son was pulling tires off so we could put new ones on and it slipped off jack. I think it dented the bottom of gas tank up...no leaks but nothing to compare to. If it is dented i want it replaced. The car is original as you can get. Still has dealership sticker on bumper from new. Always stored inside. I probably should sell it just not sure why i bought it other than i could not believe how original and good condition it is. Interiot almost like off show room floor. Any idea what its Worth? Ball park? Owner said 22k actual miles but i got it running and drove it speedo not working??? But you would think tgat is close by looking at the inside

I think I would try Radiator Shops that re-seal Gas Tanks to see if they could straighten it, most used Tanks you will find will be in worse shape than your Original low mileage car's tank.

It will be very time consuming to find a New (NOS) Tank for a '58 Sedan.

To get an idea of the Value, you can do an eBay search for '58 Studebakers and save it in "your eBay" to get daily updates on available Cars then you can watch for their SOLD prices.

The 4 Door Sedans usually go from 3500 to 5 or $6000.00 depending on the quality of the AD even more than the Car, when selling remotely.

LOL. What Rich said. I used Gastank Renu and recommend it. If it were me, I'd hook a compressor up to it and blow the dent out.

Looks like a nice car! I had one that I bought in 2009, the seller's grandfather had bought it new. The story I was told was that it was the grandfather's regular car until 1974 when he parked it in a barn. It sat there for 35 years until I came along.

I spent a couple of months fixing a few things and then drove the snot out of it for a couple of years (about 15K miles) until it needed some serious maintenance and I lost interest in it. I sold it to a guy who's still driving it as far as I know.

It too was an all original car. I hope you have as much fun with yours as I did with mine.

I dented my tank in a similar manner. Then I plugged the gas line, wrapped a rag around an air hose, stuffed that into the filler neck and slowly pressurized the tank. The dent popped right out and all was well.

does anyone have a idea what this car is worth? I saw someone posted 3500-6000 so spring is around the corner if I listed it for 3800 should be fare???

Start an auction on eBay at $3500-3800 and watch it go higher, there are many rather Plain Jane 4 Door Sedan Survivors like that out there, some in like new condition, but usually they are Champion 6's, not nearly as desirable as your Commander V8.

It would be quite hard to get bids if you start it at $6000.00, when buyers start bidding, all it takes is at least 2 who really WANT it, to get it where it should be if it were at a High Dollar Barrett Jackson type Auction.

Mid to Late April is a good time after Income Tax Time is well over.
