OK, you want to hear about the Champ with a 259 & Four Speed, that Trans is not the Optimum Trans. for that 1/2 ton Truck for sure.
There is nothing wrong with a T-98, mine was the smoothest shifting Trans. ever with a Syncro in 2nd. which is your normal 1st. Gear. It is just that it is best suited to a 3/4 Ton Long Bed or 1 Ton actual work Truck, not a short Bed 1/2 ton "Cruiser".
And IF it were me buying it, which it is not, I would not pay $16,000.00 for it and then re-do all of the Interior and Paint that I would want to, making it original again.
