  • Studebaker in prime time

Anybody know anything about the nice yellow and white 1956 sedan that had a bit part on last night's episode of "Shark?" I think its big line was a backfire.

Also, rewatched "The Best Years of Our Lives" on the local PBS, and caught a 1941 Comm/Pres Skyway. When the Fredrick March character is getting out of the taxi to return home from the war, the '41 drives up the street behind him. Its a pretty clear shot.

And while I'm on the subject, anybody ever notice that in the old movies, almost all cars (and they were pretty new at the time) drive away with a puff of smoke.

Just FYI, there was a modified 56 Pres. featured on Horsepower TV on Spike on Sat AM. Really looked good. People were asked what it was, since there were no ID's on the car. I liked the owner's comment.... I have never pulled up next to another one at a red light.
