  • Mystery part

I came home this afternoon and found a couple of boxes of parts on my front porch. I guess the Studebaker fairy felt like I deserved a treat. In the boxes, I found a piece of trim that I don't recognize. I really don't think it is a Studebaker part, but maybe something Packard?? Any one care to take a guess?

I dont think it is a Stude part either. It is heavy. I think I'll post the pic on the Hamb and see what happens.

I'm not certain, but I think it is one of two trim pieces that fit below the trunk lid on the rear of a '63 Cruiser.

Definitely not '63 Cruiser. Based upon the contour, I would guess a trim for a wheel well opening. '56-'58? Or not Studebaker at all.

I thought it was some kind of moulding that would go behind a wheel well. It has 4 studs that are at least 5/16 in diameter, so it's pretty hefty. I figured that the all knowing Bob Palma would be able to look at it and know exactly what it was and even know the part number!!
