  • 1950 Studebaker gets a mention in "Shoe" comic strip 4/26/2015

Studebaker was mentioned in a good funny way in the "Shoe" comic strip this Sunday (Apr. 26, 2015). I'd post a copy here, but it's copyrighted.

    See it at http://www.shoecomics.com/

If you are reading this on any day other than Apr. 26, 2015, you will need to go to the Archives tab to see it.

If you like it enough, you can even buy large, high quality giclee prints of the strip.

Shoe has always been one of my favorites, but our local liberal paper dropped it the day Shoe took a jab at the left. A few other good strips were dropped for the same reason, so I quit buying the paper. Nice to see they like the 1950 Studebaker.

I like this one too but it's not a Studebaker. Looks like the front of Caddy and the rear of a De Soto.

I've always thought the 1950 Stude was up there with the bacon cheeseburger. And remember, of course, that the couple in the comic strip Pickles drive a 1950 Studebaker. Clearly, the car's design is just made for animation.

and a picture of Brian Crane with a 1950-- apparently owned by his neighbor:

FYI: Cosmo's car is a 1959 Desoto Firedome 4 door sedan just like the one Shoe's creator, the late Jeff Macnelly drove

Thanks for the info. I've found this strip where it appears more clearly.
