Looks like a nice car to me too. Check the frame for delamination and the front spring pockets as well as the typical rust spots.
This car will be a very nice comfortable rider with air and a nice interior. It may not be factory original, but it appears to be well done and sometimes that sells for more than bone stock without air.

I wouldn't worry to much about not all as studebaker built it as long as it works for you. As one of my customers said last week about a new convertible top he is having installed. Someone told him ford never installed that color of top. His answer was Ford no longer owns it.

if the engine/drivetrain and the underbody is good - i'd go for it at close to the $15K (US) price!
if the A/C doesn't work, that would be a deduction on the price offered.
if the underbody has cancer (rust holes, not just surface rust), i'd walk away - unless the price comes down dramatically and you want to deal with the repairs.

Nobody puts Turner brakes and flanged axels on a car without going over everything else. Sounds like the old fellow loved his car and gave himself a little upgrade every year. I've been doing it for 7 years.Dave Warren (Perry Mason by day, Perry Como by night)
