(or do the math and bring Canadian. Either way, make a good offer and see if he takes it. But have cash on hand while negotiating.)
    Good Luck.
I'll bring cash AND get my wife to negotiate! Lord help the poor fellow!!!!

Looks like a nice car to me too. Check the frame for delamination and the front spring pockets as well as the typical rust spots.

This car will be a very nice comfortable rider with air and a nice interior. It may not be factory original, but it appears to be well done and sometimes that sells for more than bone stock without air.

Is this a "trailer queen" or was the drive train rebuilt and "as new" ?? Can you drive this car cross-country ? Its nice, very nice, but without a complete mechanical rebuild...... your money....

I wouldn't worry to much about not all as studebaker built it as long as it works for you. As one of my customers said last week about a new convertible top he is having installed. Someone told him ford never installed that color of top. His answer was Ford no longer owns it.

if the engine/drivetrain and the underbody is good - i'd go for it at close to the $15K (US) price!

if the A/C doesn't work, that would be a deduction on the price offered.

if the underbody has cancer (rust holes, not just surface rust), i'd walk away - unless the price comes down dramatically and you want to deal with the repairs.

            just my $0.02...

I know the rear axles were replaced from tapered to flanged I believe. I do not know whether the engine and tranny have been rebuilt. When I saw the car it had been driven over 2 hours from his home so it is not a trailer queen. I definitely have some more research to do though.

I posted about the car last summer and someone mentioned the interior not being correct for the car but I must say it looks very good. The carpet is new and I believe the head liner as well. I'll find out more when I go and look at it.
I stand to be corrected but I wouldn't say the interior is not correct. It looks ok to me. But it does suggest it's a South Bend car, not Canadian...no problem with that.

Looks like it has an N.O.S. 1964 GT cloth and vinyl seat trim set.

Nobody puts Turner brakes and flanged axels on a car without going over everything else. Sounds like the old fellow loved his car and gave himself a little upgrade every year. I've been doing it for 7 years.

I agree with Chris, the interior is 64 GT. I have the exact same interior for one of my 64's. Looks really nice in the car though. Bill

Yes exactly Dave! He also has a 59 Bentley so he has likely had many cars over the years! I forgot to mention one thing about the GT, he had all of the stainless and chrome trim removed, straightened , polished and reinstalled! I can only imagine what he has into the car!
