  • Speedster automatic transmission color?

A friend is doing a restoration on a '55 Speedster and wants to confirm the correct color for the DG350M automatic transmission.

The Alberta Blue (Dark Blue with a hint of Green) Engine Enamel was used for the complete Engine, Converter Housing and Trans.

Jack, I thought Speedsters used a DG 250. Never seen a DG 350. Do they exist?

        Hi, Rich,

Thanks, I'll pass it along to him.

I thought DG250 too, but that's the number he gave me and I didn't want to contradict him.

It'll be on the plate on the tranny, Jack. I'm guessing DG250M. I've got two of 'em to build one for my 55 Commander to replace the DG 200. If a DG350M were available, now that would be an interesting thing to research for the PSMCDR.

Sounds right, Rich. I wouldn't bet against either of you guys, but if I can go just a little bit faster........ (LOL).

Yup, that's the colour. Now if I could only read that oval plate.

I'll get that plate info if you need it. (As soon as the snow melts, that is!)
