  • Hurley's Hawk

I remember reading that Hurley (Studebaker President?) wanted the Packard Hawk made, but I can't recall ever reading about whether HE actually ended up with one, and if he did where is it now? Does anyone know?

I think it became the Packard Hawk and was put into production. I have never heard whether he actually had one of his own, though.

Have you read Fred K. Fox's feature article on Packard Hawks in the Oct. 1995, SDC Turning Wheels? Has lots of great info and even a pic. of an early design study P/Hawk.

I should have that issue. I'll look later. I don't remember ever reading about his personal Hawk, but I might have and just forgot what I read.

Check out the latest Autoweek, Jan 7th, page 29. There's an article about the PH and reference to a car being built for Hurley. But, I suspect Mike Williams would have the info on whether this ever transpired.
