        I don't know if the LA plant produced any CKD cars for export, but the LA plant kept using the tri-star emblems right up til the end of '53 production. There must've been a reason for that. Maybe the CKD kits for overseas production got the tri-stars too.
        My totally stock - never wrecked or repaired '53 Commander was built in late August of '53 and wears tri-stars, front and rear.
