Considering where you live, Jim may know of the whereabouts of a few American Bantams.

He also offered to sell me the '58 back...which was also shocking as he once told me he'd never sell it.
I meet Jim in the early 1970's when he worked at the Gulf station at 11th & Pico in Santa Monica.
At that time, I was in the Ford/Packard/Studebaker NOS parts biz and a parts guy at Frost & French. Later I went back to working at Ford dealers, which Jim liked since I could sell him parts cheap for his various Ford vehicles.
Jim used to come by my house in West LA on a regular basis. One day when he came by, he saw this Packard in my driveway.
He said I know this car, it's owned by an old lady in Westwood.
Not so...Jim, I replied, I bought this car in 1971 from an ad I read in the LA Times, parked it in my grandmothers garage in Westwood because I didn't want it sitting outside.
And btw, back then besides myself and Jim, another Studebaker 'nut' lived nearby in Culver City: Jon Myer.
Jon packed up and moved to Duncan Falls OH after the 1994 Northridge earthquake decimated his parts building.Last edited by WinM1895; 01-28-2015, 01:31 PM.
