An Automatic Six with no drivability factor, in that condition (assuming near perfect) should be worth the $10,000.00 price. Maybe they should have painted it
    Resale Red!

That does beg the question though, would a '60 Falcon Hardtop (Wait they did not have one yet, did they?) or Corvair Coupe bring any more?
I sold this 62 Corvair coupe...6 cylinder/automatic for more than $10k. Although there aren't lots and lots of folks lusting after Corvairs, there are even fewer lusting after Larks (unfortunately).

The "Super Turbo Air" motor was just a 95 HP version of the standard 80 HP Turbo Air motor. Neither were turbocharged. Later in the same Wiki article...

"In Spring of 1962 Chevrolet really committed itself to the sporty image they had created for the Corvair by finally introducing a Convertible version and then offering a high performance 150 hp (112 kW; 152 PS) turbocharged "Spyder" option for Monza coupes and convertibles, making the Corvair the first production automobile to come with a turbocharger as a factory option"

        Cough! Gag!

        $15-20K?

A friend was told to do an engine swap on his car was $2K, assuming the engine was ready to swap.
5K for an engine rebuild, $12k for paint $8K for interior, puts you well over $25K and that is not even the suspension and brakes, or chrome

Hopefully it was not built by these guys..

I drove a first gen corvair turbo back when I was in college. When the turbo spooled up it had impressive acceleration.

Oh my gosh!!! I restored that car back in the late nineties. Sold it when I got laid off in 2001. Sounds like it has been around the country. I sold it to a guy in Texas, he sold it to a guy in Las Vegas, then I saw it on e-bay by a guy in California, now It appears it's in Florida. Looks exactly as I left it, except for the duaL exhaust.

Wow! Talk about a "Traveler"! That thing has been over the roads, probably not on it's own power though.
