  • tag under seat 57GH

    Hello

Today I found a tag underneath the seat in my 57 Golden Hawk. I will be reupholstering it.

The tag says Feb 25, 1957. According to the Studebaker Museum production order, my car was finally assembled on February 28, 1957. So this matches quite well. Always nice to find such original tags.

    Have a nice day.

      Neat!

      ...and I was (Feb. 25th, 1954) 3 years old.

Neat. Much better than I usually find. I bought a VW beetle than had an after market air conditioner added. Took 10 HP off the 40 HP motor. They had insulated the beetle inside with Styrofoam and even that was covered with TacoBell taco sauce. I like your find much better.

Thank you. Yes it's always nice to find something that old looking still that good. The underside of a seat is a very protective space. By the way, am also born in February - almost matches the car :-)

Nice find Rudy! All I found when I took my 57 Packard seats apart were two pennys and mouse droppings!
