    I had a vehicle with one of those ball valves. Crude, but effective if you don't need to control the heat from inside the car.

      The control lever extends through the opening for the original control valve and I drilled a hole in the control lever and put a small bolt through it and the original control on the dash controls it. I will post more pictures soon.

        Saw a few rebuilt Ranco valves on Evil Bay last night, ya might want to consider one of those next time.
