  • First sign of hope since the beginning.

Hi, I just thought it was interesting that out of all the rust and corrosion that I have encountered throughout this tough restoration I have at least one clean and original piece from this truck. I found the truck in our woods about a year ago and it was trashed, but to me it was gold. Since then I have been taking it apart slowly and just got around to taking the oil filter case apart. The filter was nothing but oil until I started washing the oil off. I soon realized that it was an oil cartridge with original paint. This project still has hope. Just thought this was pretty neat.

That is one old oil filter! I enjoy seeing someone working to restore a vehicle that some would not attempt to do. Good luck with your project.
