I now remember more about this car.
Andy Beckman from the museum brought the car to me to be stored since I have a large warehouse.
It was given back to Brad by the museum and he stored it in my building.
I put it on Ebay for Brad to cover the storage charges.

I think your memory might be slipping a little. I didn't get my car off ebay, just from the previous owner.

The car in question has me intrigued. I've spent a lot of time, probably more than anybody should, studying the cars both from and still in the Proving Ground Graveyard and just when you think you know about all of them this one came along. I've never heard about it. I can tell you there are approximately 45 cars still in the graveyard, but here's a time line of vehicles that I know we're removed:

1969: 1953 Commander (my car), 1952 Model N hardtop, 1947 fiberglass station wagon.

Somewhere in between 1975-1985: proposed C-cab cab forward (removed by Bendix. Later seen at Herwich Iron where it was probably scrapped)

      1988: 1947 Woody

2007 (?): attempt was made to remove the 1950 Desert Explorer but failed.

Damion please post some photos of your car. If it was out there I might have a photo of it from way back then.

Pictures certainly would answer a lot of questions very easily!

I think Dresbach made him mad.

                  Thanks Chris.
