When my late brother and I had our trucking business, we turned down lots of loads just because of that. I don't recall all the details, but for some reason, he thought about the same toward New Mexico. He was the one that started the business and I came into it just a few years before he fell ill. He rarely turned his back on the opportunity to make a dollar. If he passed on an opportunity to haul a good paying load, you could bet that there was a good reason.

We hauled into the northeast, south, and Midwest. However, never California, rarely NM, Metropolitan NYC, and few trips into Florida. There were lots of load opportunities into Florida, but few out. Back then, the economy was good enough for us to be a bit picky. Now, I'm glad I don't have to deal with the the current "no-conomey" as an independent contractor in the trucking industry.

I've got pictures to send but I'm on the road right now. Look at the Cincinnati craigslist, I have some on there.
