  • Plan B "The Starliner" Wedding!

    Hey everyone,

It has been a while but I finally got around to uploading some of the pictures from my wedding. The car looked great and fit the theme of the wedding perfectly. Hopefully you guys will enjoy some of these photos. Now to finish the GT Hawk and eventually start restoring this one. See more here (http://www.ourstudebaker.com/commander/the-wedding/)

Wow - those look great - looks like everyone is having fun.

Glad no one used any shoe polish on the paint - do not want to stain it...

Love the pics and the car. The patina is just right. That'll turn more heads than the bride and groom.

            Good looks all over!
Don't go painting that car now, just spray clear varnish on it!

You know...we have another thread going where we have discussed contemporary dress and public decorum. Your post and the included pictures prove that folks can dress well, have a great time, conduct themselves with grace and dignity...and enjoy a serious affair without being stuffy. Thanks for letting us know it is still being done.

Beautiful bride. What a great send-off. Best wishes for both of you.

Awesome pics Andres. Wish you all the best.

Bonus for the pic of the backup lights I was looking for. That answered a question I had.

Thanks for all the kind compliments. I have debated leaving the patina finish though I feel like the car deserves a full restoration. I think I will at least drive it like this for a while until I have the $$$ to spend on it.

Andres, I just spent some time studying your very first photo in that sequence. What a beautiful photo angle for the car's lines!

Can you imagine that being a 1953 Buick Riviera hardtop, taken from the same angle? Nothing against Buicks, and I have a nice '72 LeSabre convertible, but a 1953 Buick Super Riviera in the same pose would look like a zoo veterinarian's approach angle for giving an elephant an enema. Thanks, Bob. Now I will have to try all day to get that picture out of my mind.
