  • Offenhauser intake manifold question

Sorta just fishing, but I have two Offy intake manifolds and really only have a desire for one.

Anyone interested and what's the going rate ?

This one's been sand blasted, has nicks where the clamps rest, the four mounting holes are sloted (moderatly well done), no extra holes anywhere, no grinding in the plenum area, no grinding in the ports. A nice, clean stock Offenhauser manifold.

    Thanks

    Mike

Only way to answer that is put it on eBay and find out. I've been amazed at the selling prices of some Stude antique speed parts.

Jack's right. This is surely an ebay item. You might be surprised at just how much that thing brings. I'm guessing 6 plus.

        Hey Jack, Sal -

Yea, thanks...thought of that. Though I've bought tons of stuff on e-bay, I've never sold anything. I haven't even opened e-bay in over a year..! Not even to look.. No real reason, just haven't.

Just thought I'd offer it up to anyone here that might be interested. Otherwise it'll just stay on the shelf.

OK, am I the only one who wonders if we are talking about a 3 Twos, 2 Twos, or WCFB small, square bore 4 Barrel Offy Manifold here? Or, was I supposed to know that Offy only made ONE?

            Mike,

I think I am interested in the Offy manifold, if it remains available. I can run that pretty nicely in my '53 Commander, which is my current project.

The last 2 I sold were for $500.00 each.

A single four barrel, small pattern of the WCFB. And yes, they only made the one version for the V-8.
But with the proper adapter and a little touchup work, it works just fine with the Carter/Edelbrock carburetors. Or with some more work in the manifold plenum, to more properly match the carburetor, they work even better.

Thank you CandB, that's what I was looking for...

Unless the issue is milking the price for all it's worth--or more--may I respectfully suggest that you set a price and give the members here a chance at it before going to the "bay?"
