That looks a lot like George's old Zip Van out of Tallahassee..
It was a storage shed for years and years....
I thought George was going to keep the rear end out of it

Interesting that he (the seller) will NOT respond to text messages.
Some Stude guys are pretty easy to figure out.... Some not so easy

There's a complete one for sale not too far from there (Columbia/Savannah)...
There's also two hulks near Savannah that could probably be acquired for parts, but they are rusted baaaad.

Not really trying to be unkind...but I wonder what a scrapper would charge him to come pick it up and haul it off? If it ever saw much service on a route...even those brake drums would be suspect. One thing for sure...we know he keeps his wasps above, black widows below, and rust everywhere.

On a positive note, it is easy to determine that this is one environmentally friendly Studebaker...emitting no horrible pollutants for years!

This Zip Van would be good for the glass. Many need glass. They seem to attract people that like to break or steal glass. I know that I experienced that and had to go to another state to get replacement glass. Bob A. was looking for a windshield.

Yes, I know (I have seen them). I also believe that they will not ship them.
What I needed for my Zip Van was the rear door glass.

At least all Zippies have flat glass but the windshield is huge & S.I.'s price is very reasonable. Thank goodness to Bob Petersen (candbstudebakers) to have brought one back for me & with a very reasonable cost. I have it tucked away still in the crate, waiting. I am also thankful for Tom Sierra, a good friend of mine (but not a Studebaker owner) to have hauled it back down here from Bob's place. Good friends both in & out of the Studebaker community are "Priceless".

I would take a "Rusty" Arizona Zip Van any day over a Really Rusted away Georgia one.

I think "very little rust" in Georgia is not what most of us in other areas would call restorable.

That Seat and Package "headache" Guard are needed in a lot of these, that is among the few savable Parts.

This is an earlier Model ('63?) with the small rear side window.

That at is pretty antiquated and potentially flawed thinking.
The GA Zip fan just came from Florida, and the other Zip Van in SC/GA came out of AZ via CO.
What with easy car shipping these days, you can't tell where one came from any more....

I did not mean ANY Georgia Vehicle, but THAT one in particular, is not deserving of a expensive restoration when much better ones are available.
