Dang! It's a Commander! Geeze, 'hate to see it go, as rare and "neat" are 1950 Commanders, especially Starlight Coupes. BP

ah... six and an automatic? Methinks it might be a Champion, not a Commander?

It's a Commander, Ron; check out the front bumper and long fenders..and the text says Commander to boot.

Plenty of 1950 Commanders had Automatic Drive; nothing unusual there. In fact, I'd bet a higher percentage of 1950 Commanders had Automatic Drive than did 1950 Champions. BP

Heck, the bullet is worth $100 all by itself.

..and then there's the fender spears, and the "mustache" grille bars. Oh, and someone please pull the 4-piece rear windows out for me! Surely they can be saved! The scrappers won't care.

First year for the automatic in the Studebakers and the last year for the 245 Commander Six in the automobiles. Jerry Kurtz owns and drives his '50 Commander Starlight automatic. Outstanding highway machine, and a real attention getter!
I'm sure this looks like a homeless destitute to some but, DANG! I've restored worse! I'm just past taking on another full project.

Hey! Just a thought! Buy it cheap; donate it to MCPherson and take a thousand tax write-off!

I wish it was closer to me, it is pretty crusty but there are some good parts on it

Good parts car at the very least. Fairly rare car. Hard to tell from the photos, but that rear glass looks awfully cloudy to me, KURTRUK. The stainless looks okay, though.

That car looks like it might make for a good builder although I'd slip another frame under it.

At least save some of the stainless and the bullet. If the scrapper is getting it for $550 then why ask $800. That's also providing this car even weighed 4000lbs from the factory that's $275 a ton. I need to sell him a few of my rusted out Larks for that's good money!

Scrapper will probably save and resell any good parts before he scraps it

I could use the heater assembly from it.
