It is indeed an early President, Body number 752. It was build around Christmas 1940. Originally it was Painted all black (1906 Black). I added the grey belt.

I can see the lighter shade in the color belt but it was not immediately noted due to the angle of the sun. The rocker panels were changed (rounded off) during production after Dec 31, 1940. That was the way I was able to determine it was an early production. In any event a nice looking car. Was it shipped to Holland when new or more recently. I note the LHD.Originally posted by KJongenburger View PostRichard,

Solid black is really a bit too much, the 2 tone you chose is very subtle and most dignified. I like it!

A picture of last summer that does show the grey belt.
Richard,
LHD is the norm here, as it is with you. I imported the car from Texas about a year ago. In 1941 the Holland was occupied by our neighbours. I'm quite sure they would not have allowed the import of a car from north America at that time. Also most of the cars that were here were confiscated for their war effort. The result for me today is a serious shortage of spare parts.Last edited by KJongenburger; 03-30-2014, 02:58 AM.
