  • Bet you've never seen THIS Stude model...!

Go thru all 5 pages...just looking at the pictures is fine.

Cut off the original front end & started grafting on the bullet nose. It's gonna take a lot longer putting it back together than taking it apart.! Oh...

Wow. I didn't think I was going to like it at first but that's pretty cool!

I just saw it on the last episode of My Classic Car. Dennis Gage was all Ga Ga over it. I gotta admit it is pretty cool, a real Franken-Amphicar.

same here. Dennis seems to really like Studebakers as y'all in the Sacramento area know. he's owned at least one, AFAIK...

definitely not a "Amphi-Stude", but one of our local ENCSDC members has a cool golf cart!

Never would have thought of combining those two cars. I like it.

The bullet nose just seems to fit on that car. And yes, Dennis did own a Stude, it was a 63 GT Hawk and you can see it on the cover of the January 1998 issue of Turning Wheels. He signed my copy.

As a side note, Dennis' comment about the TW cover - " As much as I miss the car, I miss that coat even more. It was made of Elephant skin and was very heavy. I lost it in a house fire."

Certainly some engineering going on there.
