How about telling us where you live. United States covers a lot of territory.

Welcome to the forum! The service manual is not all you need. In addition, you need the body/chassis manual. (For cars, that would be two different manuals. Trucks may have it combined), but since I'm too lazy/relaxed after super to go look...stick around...someone else will speak up.

These C-cab trucks had a long run with little upgrades and a few cosmetic changes during its progression. Let us know where you are and there's a chance you will find some kindred spirits to help and encourage you along. Look forward to hearing more. Post some pictures...we love pictures.

Section 2403 of the 49-56 truck parts book lists all the individual parts of the cab-to-frame mounts, but there is no associated illustration. The same section of the 57-61 truck parts book has a good illustration EXCEPT that the arrows showing where the mounts attach to the frame are pointing to the wrong places (a famous blunder). All four mounts are somewhat different, in the sense that the bolts are all different lengths, one of the four is bolted solidly, while the other three use rubber doughnuts of different thicknesses as dampers. The LR mount bolts directly into a threaded hole in the frame cross member to avoid the gas tank; the other three use nuts.

I don't have a scanner capability right now, but could mail you hard copies of the appropriate pages if you don't have the books.
