  • Brake shoes for a 1938 Commander?

Hello all - I' m searching for brake shoes for my 1938 commander. I'm wondering if anyone might have a lead on where I could locate some, or if there were other years that would work as a replacement?

    thanks! Robert

I will not be home till Monday AM so I don't have the parts book available till then.
What are you looking for - Complete shoes for all 4 wheels, just the linings? These should be readily available - I know I have spare NOS linings that purchased on e-bay

What model of 38 do you have?

I'm looking for the brake shoes on all four wheels themselves as I can always get them lined if need be. I have a 1938 Commander.

Just realized I'm using the wrong term - I'm looking for the brake 'cores' - lined or not! Or, if those aren't available, if someone has a suggestion of a replacement version or year?

        Thanks - Robert Rose

Robert - I'll be able to get you shoes. Have a parts car and also know of a real nice fellow in New Hampshire that is going with late model suspension but has saved all of the items he took off. Pm me your e-mail and I will get you his info. His car was 35,000 miles.
