  • Studebaker Dealer in Devils Lake ND

Found the following using Google Earth:

On the back of a two story brick building located at 3rd Avenue NE & 4th Street NE one can see in faded yellow paint:

FARM with MACHINERY below and below that: STUDEBAKER

There's no dealer listed in this city in Bob's Studebaker Resource.

Wow, my mother was born near there.
Actually, Devil's Lake was the "big town" they go to for excitement. She was born in the (presumably appropriately named) Starkweather.

Ramsey Motors was the dealer in Devil's Lake.

        Did they sell farm equipment?

Sorry but I do not have a list of farm equipment dealers. However most small town dealers could not survive on car sales so I am guessing they did.

Only about 180 miles from where my '49 2R15 was sold new, Powers Lake, ND. The dealership building was torn down many years ago but I do have a picture of it.

The Ramsey dealership was likely much later.
