    Another really nice Avanti shown at the Ocean Bay Chapter 'Octoberfest' was this white '63 R-1. Beautiful, isn't it?

        I was looking at that,BUT what really stood out is the glove box lid gap doesn't look as crisp n tight as factory.

          That's a very nice looking Avanti, the Paint could be GM stark White, instead of Avanti off-White however.

            Upholstery shop could have done a much better job on the front seats. Hate to see good money wasted.

              Most likely they are replacment covers, that were slapped on without rebuilding the foam underneath. Also some replacment covers dont have a provision for the metal stays just a cheap piece of rope sewn in. Live and learn. It's an expensive lesson.
