OK guys and gals, here's a few pics of the cars from my family's past. I'll try and get some more soon from my grandad.
This first one is my mom with her (now mine) '63 Daytona back in '85. The '61 Lark front sheet metal is still out in the woods where they threw it down.

Mom with the Daytona after a makover. (For the car, that is!) With the exception of the front end, it's wearing its original Ermine White paint.

My uncle James with a '56 Transtar pulp wood truck, probably from the middle '80's or so. The truck was bought new and used locally by a trucking company that's still in business here. It's now rusting away out at my grandparent's place.

Heres's my Mom again, this time a little younger, but still with a Lark. Taken in '70-71 or so I think. The car is a '62 Lark Regal 4 door with 259, and a few 'goodies' that my grandad put on from a R1 GT Hawk parts car. My uncle James' first car ride was in this one.

This is my grandma with my grandad's '56 Sky Hawk. This was in '68-69 I guess. The car was really unique. Had a 289 with 3 speed OD, and was monotone black. He bought it from the original owner, who kept it in excellent condition. The fate of this car came in '70, when my grandparents and my Mom, who was less than a year old, were on their way from Florida to Georgia to visit family. Late at night, my grandad eased off the shoulder, and the car flipped numerous times when he tried to pull it back too suddenly. My mom was in my grandma's lap in the front seat, and they both were thrown out. Had my mom been in the car seat in the back, the top would have crushed her.

Because of that wreck, my grandad was out of work, and had to sell his '40 Commander and the GT Hawk parts car. He didn't own another Stuude until '79, and that's when he bought the '57 Silver Hawk he has now.
More later!
