39 commander heater valve

Can anyone advise me on a source for the valve that controls the heater coolant flow please?

If you have the original they can be rebuilt. While you are trying to find a replacement, I have used the old garden hose variety valve with a couple of clamps.

Well, yeah, that would work but one that works from the lever on the dash would be sweeter.

A good parts store should be able to source a universal, threaded, cable operated, valve.
Just pay attention to getting one that is push or pull operated as needed to match the dash action.
This what I did on my '41 Commander, but cannot remember the details.
