Hmmmm....'wish they had posted a Serial Number so we could see if it really is an R-engined car.

(But as a 292, maybe it's got an old Y-block Ferd engine in it now , replacing the Ford-sourced Studebaker 289?)

I see a 64 emblem on top of the grill shell, and another emblem in the lower left are of the grill I cannot make out.

Right, Joe. I've enlarged that lower left (right as we are looking at it) grille emblem and I don't believe it is an R-engine emblem. It looks like one of the generic Hawk Bird emblems. BP

If it IS an R-powered '64 GT, it would have to be an R1, as the one-and-only Horizon Green R2 has been located: http://forum.studebakerdriversclub.c...tory-this-year

Bob, that car is in Ravenna, one town (about six miles) east of me. I can arrange to at least look at it.

If it is an original '63 with an R2 in Green Mist, then its one of 8!

I see more and more CL ads that say "text only" for contact. How about all of us that have an interest in what they are selling but do not text?

I agree, Gary. That text number is his phone number, but I have an old-fashioned cell phone and it took my probably ten minutes to type out via text, that I lived in nearby Kent and wanted to see the Hawk! (I haven't heard back from him yet.)

I sold an R1 power shift to someone up that way about six years ago I think it was the same color. It was not a Pkg R1 but was a factory R1 but was a 64, not a 63. My car came out of Montana I believe.
